The N4 group has started a new project on logic, topological concepts, patterns, and quantities through the text "un libro" (eng: "Press Here") by Hervé Tullet.
For the work on patterns, we first observed the sequence of colored dots in the book, then sorted our classroom sticks by color. After some free exploration time, we had fun recreating different patterns from left to right, helping us get used to the direction of reading and writing. Each child created a different rainbow! 🌈
On another day, the children explored the concepts of “in" and “out.” We reread the book while sitting inside colorful circles. Then each child picked a soft toy and we had fun moving them in and out of the circles.
Finally, it was our turn! With a big jump, we practiced being inside and outside the circle ourselves. We wrapped up the activity by transferring everything onto paper, gluing little colored pieces inside and outside—just like we had explored earlier with our bodies.
