15th -16th October ~ Pomegranate and Greenman

This year the kids will be involved in the annual project "A scuola di natura". Here's how we're working on it:

On Wednesday and Thursday, the red and the blue lions took turns doing a delicious activity all about a fruit they had already explored, the pomegranate!

We began our activity by observing it… what shape is it? It’s round!

The children then had fun naming other round things, just like the pomegranate: the sun, the moon, a ball, an apple, an orange, wheels… wow, so many ideas!

After this, we had a little challenge divided into teams. Each team had to take out as many pomegranate seeds as possible… who do you think won? One thing is for sure, everyone had lots of fun and practiced their fine motor skills!

 Later on, we turned into little artists: we observed and drew our pomegranate with all its wonderful shades of red, yellow and green.

In the afternoon, we worked divided by age and Nursery 4 started the "Greenman and the Magic Forest" book!

Kids worked on school vocabulary and toys...so proud to have their own little books!
